University Survival Week
24-28 July 2023 | 10am-4pm
Charterhouse International Secondary School, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Taman Sri Hartamas Kuala Lumpur
University Survival Week is the first program of its kind in Malaysia, aimed at students preparing to start their tertiary education journey, often in another country or far from the comforts of home. Starting University and College can be a daunting task, with cultural differences, different food, the need to balance a budget and of course being far away from any support system, just some of the challenges faced. University Survival Week by Lead Up, has been created to cover as much of these challenges as possible, from navigating social media issues like bullying, to learning first aid and even self defense skills. We cover grooming, tips on interviewing, coping skills for students and parents, and bring in some of Malaysia's experts in this field including a Behavioural psychologist, to help prepare students for a new life abroad or away from home. University Survival Week is a must for any child planning to further their studies away from home, so that parents have some peace of mind, and the knowledge that their child has been given the necessary survival skills and advice to navigate a new world. What do I do in the case of an emergency while overseas? Being “street smart” and aware of issues such as the spiking of drinks, substance abuse while encouraging healthy social habit choices are some of the unique subjects covered during this 5 day course. The course is conducted in a fun and interactive way, ensuring your child emerges, better skilled and aware, prior to leaving home.
